New era but old thoughts 

A lot of things happened the past few days and weeks. Just recently a girl was raped, killed and thrown nearby her house which happened to be hardly 2 km away from my place. I couldn’t devote my time for her but I’m in no way to stand back to pray for peace of Neha (Yoruna) Pun’s soul even if I hadn’t been able to express through any means.

Just now as I keep waiting for my vehicle to pick me up to move to my workplace, I hear people gathering in different groups all discussing about the same issue; Neha’s case. From a group nearby I got to hear clearly some which made my heart ache and explode with anger. An elderly man was briefing his fellow colleagues about the happenings as he heard or read somewhere which was at many extent undeniably true. But he also said,”Tyo Masu katne kasai rahechha tei bhayera tetro manchhe marna sakne aant aayechha (Since he is a Kasai who cuts and sells meat, therefore had guts to kill someone)”.

Eventually I asked myself why do people bring the reason of casteism, race and religion forth when these are total foolish and absurd to talk about. So arrogantly he cursed the guy and people insulting his families, relatives and friends. I believe no parents or friends would really boost someone to emerge as a criminal and do illegal activities. At the same time, I’m in no way to show the pity to the culprit too.

But dear people for god’s sake stop these all bullshit and come along with a thought that none of us would ever try to do anything in anger, frustration of hopelessness. I know even if someone holding a play card in a rally is the either future rapist or a criminal and one among them may also be a victim (though we hope not to get repeated).

Also, this didn’t really happen because a girl from Mongolian community, considered to be a bit modern in Nepal wore short or sexy dresses and had male friends in her group or was also an actress. Otherwise I hope every girl who walked on bikinis at the beach, played in movies or else would get raped daily. This goes to those guys who commented badly on facebook and also the ones like him who have the similar thought.
